Texas considers the possession of Controlled substances a crime. A person can be arrested for the illegal manufacture, possession or distribution of Dangerous Drugs and Controlled substances. A “Controlled substance” means any substance that includes a drug, adulterant, or dilutant listed in Schedules I through V or Penalty Group 1, 1-A, 2, 2-A, 3, or 4 of the Texas Controlled Substances Act under the Texas Statutes.
