Attorney Profile

BALDEMAR (VAL) ZUNIGA

I have experience in every aspect of criminal defense, because I started  from the bottom and worked my way up. I never knew how that experience  would allow me to understand the needs of clients and be compassionate  to their requests, where other attorneys sometimes take clients for  granted. I work hard to receive favorable results for my clients, and I  make myself available 24 hours a day. 713DRUGLAW is not a marketing  gimmick, it is a way of life!

I am a native Texan, born in  Corpus Christi. I moved to Houston in 1998 and graduated Cum Laude from  the University of Houston – Downtown, where I earned a Bachelor's degree  in English. Before moving to Houston in August 1998, I worked as a  legal assistant and investigator with a team of criminal defense  attorneys in Corpus Christi. I continued to assist with trials ranging  from Driving While Intoxicated to Capital Murder.

I obtained my  Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center, and I  began work as a Criminal Defense attorney immediately upon passing the  Bar. By the grace of God, I have been able to assist thousands of  clients over my legal career, and have participated in trial in a wide  variety of criminal cases.

In February of 2008, I ventured out  on my own and formed Zuniga Law Offices, P.C., where I worked as a solo  practitioner until forming Zuniga, Carter, Morales, McCalla, P.C. in  January 2009. My calling now is to continue to provide the best  representation for criminal defendants in the Houston area and  throughout the State of Texas. I am licensed to practice law in all Texas State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and Western District of Texas. I am also licensed to practice law in The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

I enjoy giving back to the community and my colleagues through my service as a Board Member for the National Minority Lawyers and Legal Assistants Association.
